Hockwold Hall
The wedding of Imogen & Sean took place on a very warm summer’s day at the impressive Hockwold Hall
Norfolk. As I drove up the gravel drive to the hall the morning of the wedding the mist had already gave way to brilliant sunshine, I was really looking forward to this one!
Imogen spent the morning in the bridal prep studio, a room offering plenty of space and natural light which was perfect for the entire bridal party. I caught up with Sean a little later on in the hall itself.
Hockwold Hall is a very impressive building set within 50 acres of picturesque Norfolk parkland, which includes 5 acres of walled gardens. The hall boasts 8 bedrooms and a grand staircase which leads down to a dining and ceremony room. The nearby St Peters Cottage & the Hockwold inn offer more guest accommodation, both of which are within walking distance from the hall.
Imogen & the bridal party walked out into the dazzling sunshine, passing the magnificent gardens and through the ornate gates which lead to the 150 year old yew hedged lined outdoor ceremony space. The ceremony was conducted in front of the ornate Pavilion which is perfect for weddings of up to 240 guests. I was very happy as the light was very conducive for photography.
After the ceremony it was time for the confetti and group shots, with many guests enjoying drinks and canapés while catching up with friends & family on the expansive lawns and gardens, which included a small orchard, and even sheep and meerkats to view and enjoy before a wedding breakfast in the onsite marquee. Following the speeches I was lucky to spend golden hour with the couple and some of the resident peacocks who grace the hall with their presence. A live band took on the responsibility for the entertainment and kept everyone on the light up dance floor well into the early hours.
