Jodie & James
I had a chance meeting with Jodie & James to begin this story, at the time I was hosting a black tie charity ball at Lynford Hall in aid of the St Nicholas Hospice Bury St Edmunds when Jodie introduced herself by my wife who knew her previously from her own charity work. Jodie explained that she was in the midst of planning a very unique affair, a music festival inspired wedding in the nearby village of Weeting. After outlining her vision for the day my face must have been a picture! thankfully I landed the gig of photography.
The day of the wedding…
The Sun was shining for Jodie, I remember arriving at her parents’ house which was a hive of activity, so many bridesmaids, flowers and wellie boots! When Jodie was ready she looked beautiful, a brilliant white dress and the perfect addition of flowers in the form of a bouquet and a flower crown in her hair, everyone looked very festival chic.
Jodies father and James had put months of work into the preparations for the wedding, leading up to and including the morning of. when I arrived at the venue it blew me away, a miniature Glastonbury had indeed been created. Flags fluttered in the breeze and the wedding guests made their way through them to a Tee Pee centre stage surrounded by straw bales.
The bridal party arrived together in style on a tractor and trailer. The ceremony was truly magical, and everyone enjoyed the day listening to music surrounded by food vendors and entertainers, The highlight of my day had to be photographing the couple crowd surfing into the sunset.
Here are a few images from an extraordinary day…
