Bassmead Manor Barns

Sadie first contacted me way back in 2018, she was determined to get all of the right vendors for her big day and it made sense to book early to avoid disappointment. However the curse of covid played a part in all our lives, and Sadie & Daniels wedding was not an exception and had to be postponed, but ultimately when restrictions began to lift I was fortunate to photograph their wedding at Bassmead Manor Barns Cambridgeshire, along with just six members of the family, it was a very intimate affair. Over time when more restrictions were lifted, and Sadie & Daniel returned to Bassmead for a wedding blessing and a day of celebration with all of their friends and family. As I was originally booked for the photography I photographed this day also, and I was so glad, in the end the couple were blessed to have two brilliant days of sunshine, which made for some beautiful photographs, and as Sadie pointed out, looking back she got to wear two dresses, which was a big win win for any bride.

Morning preparations began early for the bridal party in the Salon & Boudoir, this building was perfect for all of their make-up and hairdressing requirements leading up to the ceremony,  while just a short distance away across the moat, the  guys were getting themselves ready in the Dudeoir. 

The wedding itself was held in the 300 year old Rickety Barn which has all of the old world charm features that you wold expect to find in such a building The barn was decked out in twinkling fairy lights which helped to create a romantic setting for Sadie & Daniel. 

After the confetti the wedding guests enjoyed time on the terracing of Bassmead Manor Barns enjoying drinks and canapés which was the perfect opportunity for me to capture formal & candid shots of the guests.

The wedding breakfast was served in the impressive Bridge Barn, a contemporary space flooded with natural light, this stunning building is perfect for photography and boasts a dramatic timbered ceiling and views across the landscaped gardens and moat.

The day ended with more intimate photos of Sadie & Daniel in the grounds of Bassmead before the evening entertainment which was held in the Bridge Barn.

Glen Lodge, Bawburgh

I first Met Danielle & Nikos for our 1st pre wedding meeting in my local pub, which was very handy, as I later discovered that the couple lived in my local town of Thetford, Norfolk, needless to say we built up a rapport very quickly as they outlined their vision for the day. Glen Lodge Bawburgh was the venue for their special day, and it turned out to be another hot one! The ceremony took place outside in the sunshine, and after the confetti was thrown the wedding guests relaxed in the beautiful setting that is Glen Lodge. The Flint Room, Norwich

I met Justin & Emma at a local charity event where I was doing the photography and a few years latter I was thrilled when they asked me to photograph their wedding at the very unique Flint Room in Norwich. The day started off with meeting Emma at Sprowston Manor, and after a short drive into Norwich Emma arrived at the church on time, and walked down the aisle to Justin to " Pink Pony Girl " what else? After a very emotional wedding and speeches the guests enjoyed the grounds of the church playing outdoor games, many of which Emmas father had made himself! The day ended with champagne. " What can I say?! Todd completely captured our day just the way we had hoped and more! He captured a perfect mix of ‘posed’ photos and natural ones of adults, kids, dogs and venue highlights. Todd was so easy to work with, prompt and arrived early and made everyone feel at ease throughout. St Andrews Church, Scole

Late summer for the wedding of Bradley & Kezia at the historic St Andrews Church Scole . I was introduced to the couple by an old friend of mine, and after an initial meeting the couple decided that we were photographers to capture their wedding day. Late Autumn was the season for the wedding of Sam & Hannah at the stately Hengrave Hall, near Bury St Edmunds Suffolk. From the moment I arrived and took my camera from the bag Hannah was smiling, she was so excited for the day, and what a day it turned out to be! Woodhall Manor

I first met Emily & Jake at a local wedding show, and they told me that they were planning a wedding at Woodhall Manor in Suffolk, I was familiar with the venue, but a return is always welcome as its one of my favourites. The day started off with a little light rain, which freshened up the atmosphere, but unfortunately ruled out an outdoor service, luckily for Jake & Emily Woodhall Manor has a contingency plan for the English weather and the couple tied the Knot inside the Hall. The skies soon gave way to brilliant sunshine and the guests enjoyed canapés drinks and live music in the gardens before a wedding breakfast and speeches. Swynford Manor

The wedding of Elizabeth & Toby took place on a scorching day in June at Swynford Manor Suffolk. I had previously photographed the couple earlier in the year for an engagement shoot in Cambridge and I was very excited to be there for the wedding. The day albeit a hot one! went perfectly to plan, and Elizabeth looked beautiful walking down the aisle accompanied by her father. After an initial meeting with Maddie & Jake we were thrilled to hear that they were planning on tying the knot in the Dordogne region of France. After a short flight to the regional airport of Brive-la-Gaillarde we had an overnight stay in a beautiful B&B before making our way to Château du Raysse on the morning of the wedding, needless to say we were blown away by the beautiful venue. South Farm

We had the pleasure of meeting Jessy & Neil at a local wedding Fayre, and hit it off straight away. They outlined their vision for their day and we were thrilled that they chose us as their photographers. The day started with Jessy getting ready at her parent's house in Cambridge before transferring to South Farm. It was a beautiful autumn day, and the light was perfect. Jessy looked incredible walking down the aisle to Neil and the couple had a perfect day, with country dancing, rugby scrums and even the farm piglets putting in an appearance! Limoncello fuelled celebrations continued well into the night! "Todd and Bethany photographed our wedding at South Farm in October. They were great throughout the whole process.
